Execute merchandising strategies to ensure brand consistency and enhance the customer experience

What is Floorset?
Each month, we execute a full floorset completely transforming the store. During the first week of the month from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., we refresh every collection, capsule, and window display to reflect the current season. I lead a team of two Shop Builders and two Taskers to complete this transition.
Planogram
As Lead Visual Merchandiser, I receive a detailed 100-page PowerPoint each month from corporate that serves as the foundation for each floorset. Because these directives are designed for larger-format stores, I analyze the document and adapt them to fit the specific layout and inventory needs of our Richmond location.
Below are examples of the customized planograms I create for each floorset. These diagrams provide clear direction for the team and help ensure each collection is executed efficiently and according to brand standards. The numbered sections on each planogram correspond directly to the numbered slides in the corporate PowerPoint, allowing the team to easily reference visual merchandising directives throughout the setup process.
Photos
I photograph each collection twice a month, immediately after floorset and again mid-month, and submit the images to our Regional Visual Merchandiser for review and feedback.
Prior to photographing, I ensure all brand standards are met, including proper finger spacing, folding, aligned necklines, and overall presentation consistency. These photos provide a clear view of each collection, allowing the Regional Visual Merchandiser to evaluate execution, provide feedback, and ensure visual standards are being maintained.

Feedback
Once the photos are submitted, the Regional or Area Visual Merchandiser reviews them and provides feedback to ensure brand standards are met.
The Outcome
Being a Visual Merchandiser tickles my brain by challenging my creativity. Every project feels like solving a puzzle, especially at the Richmond EVEREVE store where limited floor space makes merchandising exciting. Leading such a talented team through this process, and collaborating to bring the vision to life, makes the work ten times more rewarding.
